Happy Dancers
To inspire Maui’s Keiki to grow into confident, creative, and compassionate leaders through the joy of dance. We envision a vibrant community where every child feels seen, celebrated, and empowered to shine while honoring the spirit of Aloha, culture, and connection.
Our mission is to provide a nurturing, inclusive, and inspiring dance education experience where Maui's keiki develop confidence, creativity, discipline, and lifelong friendships. Through high-quality instruction, positive mentorship, and the spirit of aloha, we empower every child to discover their unique potential, express themselves through movement, and grow both on and off the dance floor.
Cassie Brockway was born in San Francisco, California, where she began her
training at four years old. Her training led her to the San Francisco Theatre Ballet where
she performed in her first Nutcracker.
Cassie began teaching at 13 years old at several Bay Area dance studios and
landed her first professional job as a singer/dancer at Marriott’s Great America theme park.
She continued on with the San Jose Civic Light Opera professional company.
Cassie assisted with choreography and performing. She was given the opportunity to
perform with professional Hollywood stars such as Michelle Lee, Tyne Daly, Ken Berry
and Joanne Worley.
Moving to Lake Tahoe in 1983, Cassie was performing as a singer/dancer in a
review at Harvey’s Casino and continued in various reviews in Colorado, Reno, Las
Vegas and Japan. She then got married in 1988 and began a family.
Cassie owned and operated her first dance studio, “Cassie’s Backstage” in 1995
and was also hired as the choreographer for The Western Nevada Community College
Musical Theatre Company for eight years in addition to teaching for Lake Tahoe
Community College.
Opening and operating “The Performing Arts Project of Northern Nevada” in 2005,
Cassie led her Christian based dance studio. Her dance teams received top awards at
various competitions. She also enjoyed her time as the Dance Ministry leader at the
Carson Valley Christian church from 2001-2007. During this time she created, directed
and choreographed “Clara’s Prayer," a Christian adaptation of the Nutcracker.
Moving to Lahaina in 2022, she began “West Maui Dance” with her daughter, Argia.
What a gift to be able to bring dance to the west side with her daughter. Cassie
loves working with children and is proud to bring age appropriate training to our
students.
Argia Brockway grew up in the
Northern Nevada area and began
dancing at the age of three. Argia
trained at various studios throughout
Lake Tahoe, Reno and her mother’s
studio; ‘The Performing Arts Project of
Northern Nevada’ (TpAPNN for short).
She also lived in Orange County,
California, where she continued her
training and began booking music
videos, short films and commercials.
Argia was homeschooled and
graduated in 2017. Shorty after, she
moved to Los Angeles to train and
work professionally. Argia worked at
Disneyland, dancing with ‘Blue13
Dance Company’ in a Bollywood show
for ‘The Festival of Holidays’.
Immediately after, Argia got a contract
for ‘Bollywood Beats’, a brand new
interactive Bollywood show at Walt
Disney World in Florida, inside
Disney’s Animal Kingdom. She
continued to work there until the
pandemic hit.
After Covid, Argia started to work
professionally again and also began
sharing her love for dance by teaching
kids. In 2022, she decided to jump on
a dream and move to Maui, Hawaii,
where she would open ‘West Maui
Dance’ with her mother, Cassie
Brockway. Occasionally commuting to
the mainland for work.
Argia continues to share her art here
on Maui, and loves seeing the joy that
dance creates here on the Island.
